We Were Liars' is set on a private island off the coast of Massachusetts. It follows the wealthy Sinclair family, who spend their summers on the island. The story combines elements of a tragic love story and an amnesia thriller. Gummer, Fitzgerald, and King play the Sinclair sisters.
